Cheetos – Fusion Dessert Cafe
Cheetos is relatively new to the dessert scene in Auburn having just opened their doors this past year. However, since they opened they have been a local hit. They offer a unique Korean fusion spin on what we consider to be dessert. From cup toasts to shakes to waffles, Cheetos has anything to satisfy your pallet. Similar to Auburn Popcorn Company, Cheetos service is impeccable. They are open Sunday from 11am-6:30pm and Monday to Saturday from 11am-8:30pm.
Gigi’s Cupcakes has grown exponentially over these past 12 years. They opened their first location in Nashville and have opened more than 50 locations across 21 states since. Cupcakes dominate menu at Gigi’s, but they offer a variety of other sweet treats as well; such as cookies, brownies and macarons. Each Gigi’s location is locally owned and operated which helps to bring a piece of their local community into each bakery. Gigi’s also offers rewards for returning customers and loyal fans of the brand. Gigi’s is open Monday through Saturday from 9am-8pm. Whatever your sweet tooth craves, Gigi’s has you covered.
Krispy Kreme has captured the hearts and stomachs of the American people ever since it opened its doors in 1937. Since then, they have opened 1,000 locations across the United States and one of these locations just so happens to be in Auburn. Krispy Kreme offers 25 different flavors of doughnuts, not including their seasonal specialties. This means there is a doughnut for every set of taste buds whether you want a regular glazed doughnut or their sweet and savory Oreo® Cookies and Kreme doughnut. Krispy Kreme is open from 6am-10pm Sunday through Thursday and from 6am-11pm Friday and Saturday. You can always find a long line of cars in the drive through whenever their classic Hot and Ready sign is lit up meaning that a new batch of fresh, hot doughnuts is ready to be served.
Yummy Villa is another Asian fusion dessert restaurant. Their menu, however, is very different from Cheetos. The restaurant is local to the South East with three locations spanning from Auburn, AL to Columbus, GA. Yummy Villa offers a variety of fun desserts with their most popular menu items being their ice-cream rolls and bubble tea. The restaurant is a hot-spot for young people around Auburn; you can always find friendly faces whenever you go. Yummy Villa offers punch-card rewards for returning customers, and after you buy 10 items, you get your 11th one free. They are open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12pm-8pm and 12pm-9pm Friday and Saturday; Yummy Villa is closed on Tuesday.
